When did you start your website and why?
Started five years ago in 2001 with online photos due to request from many overseas clients who like to see property website with photos. Today, our website has a thousand photos online and constantly updated.

A Property website listing more than 1,500 properties in Penang Malaysia. Apartment, condos, flats and luxury homes. Ranks tops for Penang property and visited by thousands monthly.
What has been the most difficult part of creating and running your website?
Keeping it up todate daily with the latest property and online photos. For a property website being informative and update constantly with new photos.
What has been the easist part of operating your website?
I have a good adminstrator who has been a great helping hand in uploading the latest infomation either daily or weekly when neccessary.
What was your biggest mistake?
Well I consider my biggest mistake was we did not booked the penangproperty.com name and other people are trying to make a fast buck by booking them and selling for a huge profit. sigh!
Who maintains your website and why?
Any major changes in design or update is done by a IT personel and the daily updates of property listing by our office adminstrator.
Tell us how your business has benefitted from your website?
The internet has changed the way people buy and sell properties. Now clients from oversea can browse through our online lisitng with photos and enquire. We have benefitted from many enquires from oversea which we would not have if we just advertise in the local media. Received many good comments from visitors and testimonial from happy customers are posted in the website.
What are your views on ecommerce and the future of the internet?
As more and more people go online the trend will contiune to pick up. The internet will turn the world into a gobal village as more and more people get connected. :-)
What are your views on Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
SEO should be on content. Those who truly provide useful information and helpful services should be successful at the end of the day.
What are your views on Search Engines? Have they helped or hindered your website?
I have found search engine useful and help a lot with our website. I wish more search engine and website would ask for an interview like yours before lisiting. This will screen and weep out spammer and imposter.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Submiting to Search engine such as google, yahoo and MSN
What method has been least successful for promoting your website?
Mass Media advertising. The money spent do not justifies the result. I learn it should targeted advertising.
What would you like to see change with respect to the internet?
Help Fight spammer and wipe out spams mail. One such good site is Anti Spam
